The M Prophecies is the name collectively ascribed to a number of entirely disparate instances of phenomena dating back nearly throughout human history and from all around the world of writings, images, scripts, etc. which appear in as many as thirteen different languages, often foreign to the locality and temporality from which they originate. Many are linked thematically and all are linked by the "M" glyph with which each are signed. It was not until the late nineteenth that German scholar and secret Ether Society member, Guido von List, began compiling the known M Prohecies and recognized the association between them and many other as-yet unrecognized M writings. it was at this time, just before the outbreak of WWI, that serious interest was given to the prohecies by exponents as disparate as Madame Blavatsky and Franz Boas, particularly as they seemed to anticipate the discovery of massive deposits of ether in the arctic and the formulation of the Cohl Process. Latterly, Professor Emile McCay became one of the foremost scholars on the prophecies until his auspicious repudiation of his work on them in 2001.
